“Crimes of the Heart”
by Beth Henley Directed by Deborah Wein
(MAKE-UP DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED)
Boyd Community Center in O'Hara Township.
“Crimes of the Heart” is the Pulitzer-Prize winning tragic-comedy that explores the relationship
between three sisters who are gathered at their dying grandfather’s house in Hazlehurst, Mississippi. Eldest Lenny is concerned that she’ll never find a husband. Middle Meg’s singing career is failing, and Babe, the youngest, is out on bail after
shooting her husband in the stomach. Issues from the past mix with present
dysfunction. The sisters struggle with issues of jealousy, infidelity and
suicide. But as often happens, the biggest laughs come from the darkest moments
in life, making this show both touching and entertaining. This show may not be
suitable for young children.
Look at this GREAT CAST:
