Announcing our 2008-09 Season!
Fall ‘08
“Lend Me a Tenor”
by Ken Ludwig
September 25-27 & October 2-4 - 6
Performances
From the playwright who gave us
“Moon Over Buffalo” we have a story of a small
opera company and the mishaps that take place behind-the-scenes
on the evening of their big event in which the famed Italian
tenor, Tito Morelli, is to make an appearance. Problems persist
–Êbut the show must go on – and so the
panic-ridden producer and his stage manager have to figure out
how to make it happen –Êat all costs! This is a hilarious
farce in which we welcome the return of one of Stage
Right’s favorite actors, KDKA’s Jon Burnett, along
with his son Eric!

Winter ‘09
“True West”
by Sam Shepard
February 5-7 & 12-14 - 6 Performances
Here we have a gritty, down-to-earth tale
of two brothers who at first glance appear to be total
opposites. Austin is the straight-laced, family man who has
retreated to his mother's empty house in order to work on a
screenplay which he needs to complete in time for a meeting
with a big Hollywood producer. Lee is the rough and wild-eyed
drifter who invades Austin's quiet retreat, turning the tables
on his brother and on life itself. Things can get pretty tense
-- and darkly comedic -- in the middle of a Californian desert.
(Some adult language and content not
suitable for children)

Spring ‘09
“Barefoot in the Park”
by Neil Simon
April 23- 25, & April 30, May 1, 2 -
6 Performances
After their honeymoon, Corie and Paul
Bratter move into a tiny Greenwich Village apartment, five
stories up. She is bubbly with a free spirited sense of
adventure, and he is a buttoned-down lawyer, always trying to
abide by life's rules. These two wonderful characters were
immortalized in the 1967 movie version starring Jane Fonda and
Robert Redford as they try to adjust to married life in the
face of varying and unforseen circumstances. Add to their lives
Corie's nosey mother and an eccentric but lovable upstairs
neighbor and you have a delightful romantic comedy.
