Pittsburgh is a fantastic place for live performance, and Stage Right is proud to be a part of this thriving theatre community. I am SO pleased too, to see the amazing talent at our auditions. (We actually had an actor travel from another STATE to audition for Art, and I see that as proof that what we are doing is quality theater!)

Art is a rather different show for Stage Right. According to the director, Ricardo Vila-Roger, the characters — unlike in a farce — need to be completely believable. The cast has spent many evenings simply exploring the roles which they are playing - discussing in depth just how and why they behave like they do. I look forward to seeing some outstanding performances, by three VERY talented local actors.

I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating... We have a great audience and I am really pleased to see so many folks supporting live theater in our community. I am very proud of what we have been able to do with this company, and I can only see it getting better and better!

There may be big changes in store for us, as the Boyd Community Center in the midst of the planning process for a brand new facility. We look forward to continuing to be a vital part of the Center’s varied offerings. I would encourage you to let the good folks at Boyd know how much you value Stage Right as an entertainment option, and as a place to meet with friends, have a few laughs, and enjoy quality theatrical performances.

This is a big step for our group, and hopefully our audiences will appreciate being able to reserve tickets and season subscriptions via their easy-to-use website.
